Innovations 2017

Precision through innovation

More and more precision – that was, and still is, the decisive driving force behind almost all of the innovations over the years from AMAZONE. This shows, for instance, in regard to our “100 years of AMAZONE fertilising technology” anniversary. In 1917, this story of success began with the development of the ingenious Michel worm auger spreader. Today still, 100 years later, our fertilising techno

All-round innovations for more precision

Again at Agritechnica 2017 in Hanover, we will show you how we are looking to provide even more precision as our developments constantly move forward. There we will introduce new models across all areas of our competence. What the completely new ZG-TS 01 trailed fertiliser spreaders, the UF 02 and UX 01 crop protection sprayers, the Cataya and Centaya drill combinations and the Ceus disc harrow cultivator combination have to offer is an explosion of innovation for more operational comfort and more precision. More precision helps to reduce variable costs, to further safeguard the environment as well as improving harvest yields and quality.

Bringing in new standards of precision

We would like to emphasise three innovations which set new standards for precision. So, in fertilising, the new WindControl system automatically compensates for the influence of wind and thus ensures the precise distribution of fertiliser even under difficult wind conditions. The new standard for precision in boom guidance on crop protection sprayers is ContourControl with SwingStop: With the aid of actively-actuated hydraulic rams and their associated electronics, this system compensates for any boom movements in a horizontal or vertical direction and thus ensures an absolutely smooth boom ride. The ultimate stage of precision in boom technology is then represented by SwingStop whereby the PWFM nozzle technology is utilised in addition. We are also very proud of the successful start of our UX AmaSpot trailed sprayers with its intelligent sensor nozzle system for spot spraying which has performed so well in practice.

AMAZONE 4.0

AMAZONE 4.0 is our key term for the rapidly increasing digitisation and networking of all processes in agriculture and is our next stage in development. It includes our contribution today and in the future within the areas of software, electronics, sensors and robotics. Already today, our part-area site specific application, part-width section control and individual nozzle switching are state-of-the art. Planning and documentation systems register and process so much machine and operational data. Telemetry systems will allow far reaching analysis, precautionary maintenance recommendations and an early detection of errors. In addition, the new SmartService 4.0 protocol is built into AMAZONE 4.0. With this level of service, AMAZONE further expands its teaching and training processes in our technical customer service sector and thus can assist its sales partners and customers during repair and maintenance work via the use of virtual and augmented reality technology.

Precision through innovation

Top supplier of soil tillage equipment

Within the sector of soil tillage, we have further expanded our programme with new models, such as, for example, the CatrosXL compact disc harrow. See for yourself how AMAZONE, with its rotary harrows and cultivators, compact disc harrows and ploughs, is today amongst the top suppliers in the sector of soil tillage equipment. After the purchase of the plough factory from Vogel & Noot, AMAZONE also offers here a very comprehensive plough programme including the new Hektor semi-mounted reversible plough in up to 8 furrows.

With these innovations across all the areas of our competence, AMAZONE is superbly positioned for the future. As the specialist for “intelligent crop production” we are looking forward with optimism to Agritechnica and cordially invite you to visit our stand in Hall 9. We look forward to your visit!

GO for Innovation
